The orinoco drivers on the Gentoo LiveCDs do not contain the orinoco_usb driver, thus people using the Orinoco USB Client (vend/prod 0x47e/0x300) or other devices using this driver will not be able to get online during install.
This will probably also in most cases mean that one will not be able to get online *after* the install, thus not being able to get updated drivers from portage which *do* support the device in question...

Reproducible: Every time.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Find an Orinoco USB Client.
2. Plug it in.
3. Boot from any (official) Gentoo LiveCD.
4. Try to get online.

post scriptum: There is a similar bug (bug #29937), but Brix told me in an e-mail to file a bug on this.
