FWICS there was some activity in the 'dev' branch of github repo in 2017. Maybe it works with py3. If it doesn't, we really urgently need someone to either port it or replace it with something maintained.
I've looked into the dev branch and it's definitely not py3-ready. Furthermore, there are some design pieces (e.g. dbhash) that don't port into py3.
