bumping openssl-sys crate should be enough: openssl-sys-0.9.53 and libressl flag and BDEPEND should be enough to fix properly see https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=b619e784bd9bb096217736d9b68aac4220da4aac for example
I've got a release 0.3.0 set to go into the tree but its blocked by https://bugs.gentoo.org/706472
