The original author has discontinued development of the SleepyHead software per his public notices: - https://sleepyhead.jedimark.net/ - https://jedimark.net/2019/02/08/sleepyhead-project-shutdown/ However, development has been forked into the Oscar project: - https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/ - https://gitlab.com/pholy/OSCAR-code The Oscar project should be added to portage and possibly a note given to sleepyhead users indicating that they should consider upgrading to Oscar. I will begin work to put together an ebuild for Oscar based on the original sleepyhead ebuild. I will report back soon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. look for Oscar in portage (not found) 2. try to build sleepyhead (it is older code and may successfully build, but I had it already installed so I didn't try) Actual Results: Oscar was not installed Expected Results: Oscar was available to build.
Created attachment 591600 [details] oscar-1.1.0_beta3.ebuild Ebuild for the latest release of Oscar.
Created attachment 591602 [details] oscar-9999.ebuild This is the live ebuild for Oscar based on the Git master branch
Ugh, their file naming is terrible and we should port this to EAPI 7, but thanks for the ebuild. Unless they've expanded hardware support I won't be able to actually test this but I will take a look at this and try to get it in the tree in the next few days. The next day or two is a bit busy for me, however. I'll leave this in m-n until I put it in the tree and sign up to maintain it... Glad to see somebody is now taking care of this upstream, however.
Note: app-misc/sleepyhead has been removed from the repo and all related bugs are closed. This one will of course remain open.
