Dear Zaheer Abbas, Possible retirement pending as you haven't shown any activity in the past two months. - Last (viewable) bugzilla activity: 105823: 2007-05-14 17:00:55 - Last CVS activity: Fri Aug 10 14:03:31 UTC 2007 If you are just away, then please use the devaway system. Please be advised that devaway may also be considered inactive if it extends past 60 days. Please reply and advise on your situation. Any developer found to be inactive for a period in excess of 60 days is subject to be retired. Please be aware that if we have not heard from you within 2 weeks time, we will begin the retirement process. If we do retire you, it's pretty easy to come back when you are ready. Just do the ebuild/end-quiz again and you're back on.
Moving stuff to the new alias.
As discussed on email, closing.

Zero response for all this time. Infra, please process Zaheer's retirement.
Infra-processed for cvs/dev/lists/bugs/ldap. Sorry about the delay, was due to RL and having to also rewrite some LDAP scripts. planet, forums: your turn.
Retired on forums.
planet done
- Retired on IRC - Removed from proj/ pages - Removed from herds.xml - Reassigned all remaining bugs
Maybe the script should be improved... * gentoo-x86/media-video/flumotion/ (4 files in 2 dirs) Monday, October 27, 2008 20:49 deathwing00 * gentoo-x86/media-video/flumotion/ (4 files in 2 dirs): Version bump. Several fixes to the ebuild together with zaheerm@gentoo.org. (Portage version: 2.1.4.4)
(10:30:46 AM) Zaheer Abbas Merali: "I just moved house, lot on my plate" Please, revert.
recruiters: your call. See comment #17. deathwing00: please get zahreem to comment on here with another account. Retirement has absolutely no emails or commits from him for 200 days (from his last commit to today).
(In reply to comment #26) > recruiters: your call. See comment #17. > Well I think it's up to undertakers to decide if to retire, but in general we have reinstated anyone who ensures us they will now have enough time on their hands.
1. One commit over three months isn't enough to justify somebody to retain his status as an ebuild dev. 2. Zaheer didn't contact retirement team in any way despite it's been many months since the procedure has started. He was on infra-retire ever since August. We tried to contact him via e-mail for more than a month prior to that. I'm sorry but if a dev isn't responsive over such a long period, we are obliged to process his retirement. 3. I'm sorry but "please revert" isn't going to work. If he wants to be a dev, he has to pass the whole retirement procedure again (same as for new devs except he doesn't need a mentor). So, if Zaheer wants to regain his status, it's up to him to contact recruiters about that.
- removed from metadata.xml. List of orphaned packages (mail to be sent later): media-libs/liboggz If zaheerm wants to get back, please reopen the bug and talk to recruiters.
Well I agree it is my fault that I am retired because I did not reply a couple of emails and have been inactive on cvs for a while. I am willing to maintain the gstreamer packages that i was maintaining (drac who was maintaining them the last few months has gone awol) but if it requires me to go through the whole recruitment process again then I would rather stay retired. I have agreed to help people in gnome herd with any gstreamer ebuild related questions if I am kept retired. So really, it is your call.
No sir. It's your call, not ours. The whole "recruitment procedure" is you doing your quizzes again and passing a review session with one of our recruiters. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours... Like it or not, it's the only possible way of coming back to Gentoo and it was the same for every single dev ever returning to the project, drobbins and flameeyes included. So it's up to you whether you have enough motivation to take this path or not. If you do, please contact recruiters (can be done via this bug). It'd be great to have you on board again Zaheer but if you have no time to retake quizzes, it's hard to believe you still have time to regularly work on ebuilds...
