Description Alexander Holler 2002-08-20 18:17:26 UTC
Hi,

I've written an ebuild for amavis-perl.

The ebuild could be found at

http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-deutsch/ebuilds/net-mail/amavis-perl/

The needed perl-moduls (s. bug 6584) are there also.

Regards,

Alexander

amavis-0.3.12_pre8 has been added to portage.
Comment 2 Alexander Holler 2002-10-24 15:26:26 UTC
AMaViS-Perl is a rewrite of AMaViS, A Mail Virus Scanner, which includes some
new features and performance improvements. You should be familiar with perl or
configuration of your MTA.

Note that the installation is different than the original package, and the
integration into your MTA can be different, so please read the README and
INSTALL files very carefully.

This is taken directly from
http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=6006&release_id=92288

Release Name: amavis-0.3.12pre8

Notes:
This is a pre-release version of the upcoming amavis 0.3.12
release.

The shell script version of amavis (0.2.x series) is
discontinued. Amavis is now perl based, and 0.3.12 is the
direct successor to amavis-perl-11.
