firefox-65.0 apparently needs a newer version of libvpx. It does not compile with libvpx-1.5.0 from stable but builds fine with libvpx-1.7.0.
Thanks Ingo, this fixed the issue for me. Please bump the media-libs/libvpx dep to >=1.7.0

this was in error. dependency should strictly be =media-libs/libvpx-1.7.* seems like a breaking change in the bump from libvpx 1.7->1.8 in the header libvpx/vpx/vp8cx.h the intention to remove frame_flags from struct vpx_svc_ref_frame_config is mentioned in 43c58df34e85396a2064ebd0c014bd58e3a2bb3b and the removal is in a66da313805f41076fd05358a65c1084f646f348
