I have the following upgrade status for samba: [ebuild U ] net-fs/samba-3.0.7-r1 [3.0.7] About a week ago I tried an "emerge samba" and got an error with a corrupt download, so I left it. Last night I tried again (several emerge sync's have been performed since the first attempt), and got the same error. >>> emerge (5 of 7) net-fs/samba-3.0.7-r1 to / !!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match) >>> our recorded digest: a3e74c3cbb3303dcc92f037fdb35ff20 >>> your file's digest: 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab !!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//samba-3.0.7.tar.gz Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge samba 2. 3. Actual Results: Got error as above. Expected Results: Upgraded samba. In case someone thinks it's a filespace issue: Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/hda3 987960 77780 910180 8% / /dev/hda5 8008116 7293588 714528 92% /usr /dev/hda6 2008024 332840 1675184 17% /var /dev/hda7 505996 37288 468708 8% /tm
Me too. I checked with samba source files on several mirrors: 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/samba-3.0.7.tar.gz 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab gentoo.mirrored.ca/samba-3.0.7.tar.gz 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab gentoo.mirrors.pair.com/samba-3.0.7.tar.gz 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab mirror.clarkson.edu/samba-3.0.7.tar.gz 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab mirrors.sec.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/samba-3.0.7.tar.gz 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab us4.samba.org/samba-3.0.7.tar.gz as you can see, the md5s are all the same. My guess is the problem is either an unaccounted-for patch or a bad original md5sum.
Please resync. From the digest file: MD5 5906341429e64214909865a4be92e4ab samba-3.0.7.tar.gz 15012667
