Description Mike Auty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2018-10-23 22:57:31 UTC
https://github.com/aircrack-ng/aircrack-ng/issues/1979

Aircrack-ng 1.4 introduced a variable to the configure script, called DEFAULT_STATIC_LIB_SEARCH_PATH. This contains only /usr/lib directories, and does not include /usr/lib64 directories. As such, during its search for certain libraries, finds the 32-bit versions, which it then attempts to link into a 64-bit binary, causing compilation to fail.

A suggested workaround is to run configure with LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib64/", which does seem to allow compilation to finish, but I'm still holding out for an actual patch.

Please let me know if there's any additional detail that could help... 5:)

Closing because of the package bump (and bug 675950 being resolved).
