As stated above, the goal seems very broad.  It's difficult to formulate
intelligible messages/responses for unknown exceptions that may or may not occur
in the future.

Alternatively, error handling code can be added for known exceptions when they
are reported.  Under this rationale, this bug could be a meta bug for profile
parsing errors.
