1) The package has had a few fixes since 5.12: https://cgit.kde.org/plasma-workspace.git/log/xembed-sni-proxy?h=Plasma/5.14 2) It is a bit unfortunate that dev-libs/sway is advertising xembedsniproxy exclusively, that is hard blocking plasma-workspace, when the latter is the actual source of this package. 3) Would you be open to move this package to kde-plasma/xembed-sni-proxy (and KDE team effectively)? It would then be bumped as part of regular KDE Plasma releases and removed from plasma-workspace build (dropping the blocker).
