Bug 666599 – sys-cluster/util-vserver: still uses dev-libs/beecrypt

dev-libs/beecrypt is a candidate for removal, and util-vserver is its only remaining revdep (debugedit will be gone after stabilization).

I would ask to put this removal on hold for a little time. There are discussions going on to bring the packages fully up to date. 

Actually, beecrypt is not required. nss can be used instead with --with-crypto-api=nss .

The dietlibc dependency is also being considered.

Thanks for stepping up to maintain this ebuild.

If you're really keen on keeping this ebuild in the tree, consider filing a PR at https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo. I will review it and get it merged. I will then lift the package mask.

ebuild with beecrypt and nss USE flags

With this ebuild, beecrypt and nss crypto apis are optional; nss is selected by default.

If neither beecrypt or nss USE flags are set, util-vserver is compiled with --with-crypto-api=none.
