The release has lots of fixes tracked by bug 659322, and no known regressions.

Notable changes include:

    Bug 373209 FEATURES=test/USE=test mapping via USE_ORDER

    Bug 552814 support shallow git pull by setting sync-depth = 1 in repos.conf

    Bug 650814 eliminate unnecessary access syscalls on ebuilds

    Bug 660372 git: abort checkout for signature problem

    Bug 660410 rsync: quarantine data prior to verification

    Bug 661838 webrsync: support sync-openpgp-key-path

    Bug 661906 git: fix key refresh failure to trigger abort

    Bug 665038 enable has/best_version -b in any phase for prefix

For bug 660410, the default rsync repository configuration requires hardlink support, so people using filesystems that don't allow hardlinks (like overlayfs) will need adjust repos.conf as noted here:
