No version of this driver is currently keyworded for ppc64. Can one please be keyworded? 1.1.5 seems the most obvious.

This GPU is the integrated GPU used in the Raptor Talos motherboard, a dual socket Power 9 system.

Do we have any user who confirms that xf86-video-ast builds and works?

Yes, the reporting user has a Talos with integrated AST.

I'm going to have to clarify: It appears that while portage says it's built and installed the driver, it fails to load with a symbol issue.

I completely missed this originally because Xorg did such a good job of failing sanely and loaded the modesetting driver in it's place, which worked. I only noticed it when starting to dig through logs as part of a "tune the desktop" exercise.

Can you file a gentoo bug about for it? Maintainer would have a chance to fix it.
