Hi, I just found this peace of free software code that should go into Gentoo repository: https://pslab.fossasia.org/ <quote> PSLab - Pocket Science Lab The goal of PSLab is to create an Open Source hardware device (open on all layers) that can be used for experiments by teachers, students and citizen scientists. Our tiny pocket lab provides an array of sensors for doing science and engineering experiments. It provides functions of numerous measurement devices including an oscilloscope, a waveform generator, a frequency counter, a programmable voltage, current source and as a data logger. </quote> On the site on the front page ther are instructions how to install it on Debian based systems. I wish to have this software on my Gentoo Linux distribution! Please create for this an ebuild! Best, Pál
This looks really interesting. Do you have the hardware and are you willing to test? Many ebuild requests remain open for years, because nobody maintains the package. If you want to be (proxied) maintainer of this package, please contact the proxy team [1] and prepare an ebuild [2]. You may want to link your repository [3] or attach the ebuild here until it makes its way to the official tree. I have not the hardware yet. If I shall have it, then I am willing to test. But that will not be in the near future, because I'm new to electronics. If I have a hardware then I'll make an ebuild. Then I can be the maintainer of the package. Thank you for the information.
