It looks dead for years and doesn't work on amd64, it fails to run with:
$ duke3d
                   Duke Nukem 3D v1.4 - Atomic Edition
                   Copyright (c) 1996 3D Realms Entertainment                   

Not enough memory for file grouping system

I have been trying to look for patches in other distributions and I noticed that nobody is packaging it. It seems that people use games-fps/eduke32 instead

Awww. I wasn't aware that this was broken but yeah, I have eduke32 installed too.
