A fixed sci-libs/flann-1.9.1-r1 is available in my overlay: https://github.com/stefantalpalaru/gentoo-overlay The problem stems from cmake-3.11.0 and the upstream bug report is https://github.com/mariusmuja/flann/issues/369 My patch uses the same approach as Alpine Linux: https://github.com/alpinelinux/aports/pull/3901/files
