virtual/libmysqlclient ||-depends on dev-db/mysql-connector-c.
I think dev-db/mariadb-connector-c can be added as well.

virtual/libmysqlclient is deprecated and going away as it doesn't work as I hoped it would.  It will not be receiving any updates.

Am I just tired or is there a way to solve the conflict with mariadb-10.2.13 that wants to install both dev-db/mysql-connector-c and dev-db/mariadb-connector-c without fixing the virtual ?

I don't have a conflict.

I have both connectors installed.

I get a conflict when I try to upgrade to mariadb-10.2.13

I have to look at the ebuild. Maybe tomorrow

Please file a bug for any conflicts.  It is likely some USE flag combination I have not yet found.

Thanks, Brian. I will take a look myself and then file a bug if I can't figure it out.  It was a long week and it just might be me doing something wrong.
