Description Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-20 12:54:50 UTC
kdegraphics-3.3.0 has an USE-flag called "jpeg2k" which is for jasper support (jpeg2000). But we had already an USE-flag for this purpose: "jp2" (used by imagemagick and some others I think).

same game with "lzw" vs. "lzw-tiff" (graphicsmagick vs. tiff)

and another onw: "wxwindows" vs. "wxwin" (many ebuilds vs. dev-python/anygui)

Do we really need always new USE-flags for the same things? We should re-use existing flags as much as possible!

Reproducible: Always

Marking as duplicate of bug#51684 as far as the wx* packages go. (anygui has been removed from portage due to the project ending, by the way).

Please open a separate bug report for any other packages you named if they still have problems with duplicate use flags.
