I'd like to comment that i changed my IRC name from Rn to 'jnc'. 'Rn' was a relatively new name, and I didn't realize "Rn" was not just "Radon" element but also "registered nurse" which i am not. 'jnc' will not change. my IRC names: jnc, Rn (dropped), shadows i was signed up as Rn for ebuild developer training, +v on #g-d, and no followup after the first day or two. after a few weeks i figured seemant was busy moving, so i asked, was told to do the ebuild quiz. i began my ebuild quiz, and got most of the way through it. i started a career in sales and things are busy now, i think finishing the quiz will be slow while i adjust to my new job. i'd like if someone wants to spend an hour or two going over the quiz, and question/response explain with me in depth the parts i have left to do so that i understand. i learned a lot by spending 10 hours going through the online documents. i learned a lot more in 3 hours on IRC asking MrBones_ questions about a build i was putting together. I like the ebuild quiz, but the time-consuming nature of researching the answers is an issue for me right now.
Erik, please email me what you have, and we can go over that together, and I can help point you in the right direction for the rest. It would also help if you could start taking a look at the bugs assigned to sound@gentoo.org, test out sound applications and find fixes for bugs. Thanks.

Use of 'jnc' is correct. To clarify: I appear as jnc at home, shadows at work or remotely. I emailed Seemant / CC'd Jeremy what I have accomplished of the ebuild quiz thus far.
i've finished the ebuild quiz, thanks to the mentoring aid of ChrisWhite, and have sent an email to Seemant / CC'd Jeremy on it.
Seemant, Eradicator, what's going on with this? I'm going to close it as inactive soon if I don't hear anything.
I got the ebuild quiz on the 7th, and when I talked to him, he said seemant already spoke with him, so I stepped aside. I have not heard anything since then about jnc (and I have not seen an end-quiz). I will follow up on this and get back.

This bug has been fairly dead for the past couple of months. I'm closing it unless eradicator has a really good reason to reopen it.
Actually, I've been actively helping him since I took over for seemant a couple weeks ago. I just haven't really commented on that here.
