Description Russell Knighton 2004-09-18 07:05:29 UTC
Can't really say any more than the summary.... sorry.
Except that I have tried both and it failed with the exact same error:-
kryten nettemp # gcc-config -l
[1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.4
[2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.1
kryten nettemp #

Please see below for the complete output.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge --nodeps gnome-vfsmm
2.
3.

Comment 1 Joe McCann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 10:40:44 UTC
tried /sbin/fix_libtool_files.sh ?
Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 11:58:26 UTC
not a gcc-3.4.2 problem ?
Comment 3 Russell Knighton 2004-09-18 12:46:19 UTC
ok, I've just tryed recompiling sys-libs/libstdc++-v3
and I've also just tried the /sbin/fix_libtool_files.sh script, but to no avail, still on compilation it comes up with the same error.
Comment 4 Yuri Vasilevski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-26 20:24:56 UTC
I had the exact same behavior while emerging kxmleditor.
Running # /sbin/fix_libtool_files.sh 3.4.2 fixed this behavior.

Yuri.
