From their homepage: Barracuda is an Open-Source Presentation Framework (LGPL) designed to make it easier to build web apps by providing a simple yet powerful Server-Side Component Model that makes it easy to manipulate DOM structures using proven MVC patterns like you'd find in Swing. With this newest release, you can now use Jivan in addition to XMLC to load and render your DOM templates. Neither XMLC or Jivan is needed to build the jars (or execute the webapp). When developing using the Barracuda framework you would need it.

Firstly, this isn't web-apps, I suspect it's Java territory. Secondly, some comments on the ebuild, most of them apply to bug #64427 as well. - the ebuild needs a header, which can be found in skel.ebuild. Specifically, the copyright needs to be assigned to Gentoo Foundation - SRC_URI should probably use ${P} instead of barracuda-${PV} - KEYWORDS start out as ONLY the arches you have tested on, and as ~arch - lose src_unpack, that's the default action anyway Otherwise, looks good, although I'm no java expert.
