here is a simple patch which fixes howl support in the latest gnome-vfs(in p.mask)
Created attachment 39681 [details] gnome-vfs-howl-include.patch fixes some problems with the include location for howl headers
howl is broken, not gnome-vfs. Why is this assigned to lisa btw ? @ latexer, this is what i was talking about : howl pkgconfig references a versioned dir, while the includes are in an unversioned one. Howl init script also need to be fixed i think -> it has 'use nifd', but theres no nifd init script.
she asked for me to assign it to her because she said she was the maintainer. @init script, there is a nifd script that comes with howl. It is marked as not working and its install is commented out in the ebuild.
Created attachment 39717 [details, diff] Fix for pkgconfig stuff. Here's the patch to fix the howl.pc file. I'll look at the initscripts soon.
Created attachment 39767 [details, diff] New diff to the ebuild to re-enable both init scripts, and fix pkgconfig Okay, here's the latest diff to the ebuild. It re-enabled installing both init scripts, and resolves the pkgconfig problem. Services seem to start fine, but i'm currently unable to find some other Rendezvous enabled thingy to test with. I'm also unable to do any CVS commits currently as i just got my dev box back. If someone else wants to test and commit this fix, please feel free.
Testing patch (attachment 39767 [details, diff]) now...
applied patch, new ebuild 0.9.6-r1 is in CVS.
which means this is closed. doh!
