gnome-base/gvfs-1.35.3 is released: https://github.com/GNOME/gvfs/releases Current gnome-base/gvfs-1.32.1 in Portage tree has some critical bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/154 Should be updated.
Thank you for the bump request. You can help the maintainer with further information: Does a simple bump [1] work on your system? [1] https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Custom_repository#Simple_version_bump_of_an_ebuild_in_the_local_overlay
gvfs-1.35.3 is a rather early development version for GNOME-3.28, stable in mid-March. We will not be adding this anytime soon, and if a 1.35.x is added, it'll be a p.masked version in preparation of 3.28. gvfs-1.34.2 will be added alongside other GNOME-3.26 things at some point, also initially masked, but unmasked as soon as possible (when the whole GNOME set is ready enough). Of course 1.34.2 needs to actually get released upstream as well, not just planned. Maybe you are really requesting a backport of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=789491 fix instead?
Sure. I'm requesting a backport (patch) for 1.32.1 instead.

I wonder if we should be doing something to libgphoto2 or gphoto2 as found in that upstream report..
duh, that was also inside gvfs, just gphoto backend. As already pushed, I don't really want to revbump again. If this is a real problem for people, file a new bug please. https://git.gnome.org/browse/gvfs/commit/?id=9f8561d
1.32.2, that I added now, has the patches for gphoto2 case too, but probably more importantly some more follow-up fixes of these patches. All that was backported to gnome-3-24 branch basically, oddly after a 1.32.2 release, so still in a patchset rolled by me.
