I would like to have Partclone added to Gentoo because it is the cloning-workhorse of the popular program Clonezilla.

It would be particularly helpful when an extraction of parts of a cloned image is necessary.

I agree that this software would fit well into the official tree. 
We need a maintainer and a working ebuild.

It is available in many other distributions already:
https://repology.org/metapackage/partclone/versions

You could test these ebuilds
http://gpo.zugaina.org/sys-block/partclone
for a start in the meantime.
