Description Dennis Nienhüser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-14 13:09:49 UTC
After stopping speedfreqd, the frequency stays at the same level. This is inconvenient if speedfreq is only used in battery mode and stopped in AC mode. A possibility to specify an optional exit speed would be nice.

Any chance to have it in Portage, or should I alter the Power Management Guide [1]?

Is base-system a proper target or should I reassign to mobile@g.o?
Comment 5 Ciaran McCreesh 2004-10-01 06:05:51 UTC
base-system is valid. You generally can't assign bugs to invalid aliases.
Comment 6 Dennis Nienhüser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-05 08:41:56 UTC
Reading [1] reminded me of this bug. This is IMO a good example of something that doesn't fit into base-system. /me still thinks mobile@g.o. should get it even though base-system is listed as herd in metadata.

Applied both of these patches to the appropriate files and it works as described. I definitely think these patches should be applied to the portage tree.

It would be nice if some people could test the patches from bug #70163 which fixes this as well as some other problems.
