HOMEPAGE="http://home.gna.org/bless/" SRC_URI="http://download.gna.org/bless/${P}.tar.gz"
Thanks for reporting this. This package has gone dead upstream, but is still extremely fast and useful. As such I'd like to keep maintaining it, but I'm not sure what would be a suitable homepage? As to the src_uri, I believe it's already in place on the distfiles mirrors. Should I update the URI to "mirror://gentoo/{P}.tar.gz" or leave it as it is? Happy to do whatever's recommended, just not sure what the right solution is... 5:)
sounds reasonable, but you should not use mirror://gentoo/.. https://devmanual.gentoo.org/general-concepts/mirrors/ Ideal would be, if you contact the old upstream http://web.archive.org/web/20160405042059/http://home.gna.org/bless/contact.html and prepare a fork on a public git repository. Bugs can be fixed there and other distributions can use it and help too. If this is no solution for you, you can ask a developer to host the tar ball on the gentoo dev space. several distributions still have it: https://repology.org/metapackage/bless/versions
Ah ok, seems I'm a little out of date. I'll stash it in my dev space, thanks... 5:)
This is now resolved in 27d68414fbb. 5:)
