Hi there ! since the package is used in many packages (composer/phpunit), I think bumping it alone is a good way to check with package that depend on it. But I already tested it on my machine and it is working well, I will have to restrict the test feature because they need >=dev-php/php-cs-fixer-2.0 not yet packaged (planned as well). Guillaume.
Guillaume, I am not sure what you want to say. You are the maintainer. Have you you tested it carfully and can it be merged, or is testing still required? Is there a PR? Was a simple bump sufficient? Do you want to inform that this is in progress? Please discuss things directly with the PHP team or proxy-maint, because the bug tracker is not suited for discussions.
Usually Guillaume opens a pull request after a while, but our Github bot (and the proxy-maint team?) suggests opening a bug for every pull request. It's OK to leave this open until then.

That is a false statement. The bot does not request a bug for packages that are self-maintained (i.e. when the proxied maintainer files a pull request against a package he maintains).
(In reply to Michał Górny from comment #3) > > That is a false statement... Thanks for the correction. My comment wasn't intended negatively -- personally, I like having things on b.g.o. -- I just thought it might help explain why we have these "placeholder" bugs.
Ah sorry Jonas I wasn't clear. Yes it was tested it and I know I am the maintainer, I agree the bug tracker is not the best way to talk but I just try to share my progress on the packaging. In the future I will try to come more often check the PHP team on IRC, I will come later this week talking about the overall phpunit / composer upgrading. I'll open the PR later this week, thank you for the feedback. Michael & Michał: Yes I am not sure when I took this habit but it is also about sharing the progress and maybe find *other* support that did not hangout on IRC.
