jetbrains released 2017.2, community and professional. I was able to install by copying pycharm-professional-2017.1.ebuild to an overlay, renaming to pycharm-professional-2017.2.ebuild, but I had to comment out the readme.gentoo_create_doc line in src_install(), because it created an error: "You are not specifying README.gentoo contents!" The program runs fine, and I have no plugin issues.
There is a related PR on GitHub: dev-util/pycharm-professional: version bump to 2017.2.1 https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/5415
