what version of leatherman are you using?

Latest stable, aka dev-libs/leatherman-0.12.1

Note that facter-3.6.4 works just fine (recently marked it stable).

I also tried with leatherman-0.10.1, same failure.

dev-libs/leatherman-0.12.1 failed for me actually, 1.0.0 worked though, I've submitted a stable request for that. Can you test with it?
Comment 4 Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2017-08-12 05:52:29 UTC
Closing this since facter-3.6.5 now depends on leatherman-1.0.0 or newer which fixes this issue.
