After 2 changes FreeCAD compiles:
1. Copy PATCHES section from 0.16 ebuild.
2. Add sci-libs/libmed-3.1.0 dependency.

Works except DrawingExample.FCStd, where Qt-4 segfaults.

It is not a good idea. Here I propose a simple resolution, and in bug 596958 there is a lot of spam and fruitless discussion.
