I was looking for a new terminal and was torn between aterm and rxvt-unicode. I needed a terminal with unicode support, but I really liked the aterm feature of scrolling up and down one with shift-up/down. I googled for some time to find out after 1 hour or so that it's possible to enable this behavoir in rxvt-unicode, you just have to change a few lines in the feature.h file. So I extracted and tried changing the lines and it worked perfect :) Anyway I think it would be a good idea to enable one-line scrolling by default. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 38571 [details] enable one-line scrolling patch the patch...
What is the status of this patch? Do you like the feature? :)
Not that i don't like it, just forgot to add it when i bumped rxvt-unicode last time. I'll try to get to it tonight.
Excellent to hear. Hust wanted to know if there was something wrong with it when I saw 4.0 in portage without this patch :)
Just a small heads up in case you forgot this one. The patch still applies to 4.7 (more incentive to bother adding it: 4.8 is out) :)
Just a line to let you know I shamelessly took advantage of your hard work, and submitted an almost identical patch in bug #97408, to enable the same feature in x11-terms/rxvt. Many thanks, this was the only thing I missed in rxvt, and now I have it! :)
Excellent James. Glad I could help. Peter do you want to fix this bug or should I? It's over a year old now and its quite trivial :-(
Great stuff, I have missed this in urxvt. The patch works well with rxvt-unicode 5.8 too! I uploaded an ebuild for 5.8 with the patch applied: bug #114737
Seems latexer has been MIA so I'm fixing this one myself (7.7-r2). It's pretty trivial.
