Description Alessandro Barbieri 2017-04-04 19:01:35 UTC
seems to have a DFSG free license

http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs/main/p/python-repoze.who/unstable_copyright

but it's outside of @FREE

Looks like a new license needs to be added?

I don't think so. Both ebuilds have LICENSE="repoze" which looks correct to me.

IIUC, this bug is about adding repoze to the MISC-FREE license group?
Comment 4 Matthew Thode ( prometheanfire ) archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2017-04-08 22:48:26 UTC
so, is this request for the repoze license to be added to the MISC-FREE licence group?

If this license is confirmed as free, can be added to the MISC-FREE group?
Comment 6 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2017-04-17 19:07:28 UTC
@Licenses team: This is basically the wording of 3-clause BSD plus a 4th clause requiring modified files to be marked as such. Debian considers the license as free, and we have the very similar BSD-with-attribution in MISC-FREE already.

So unless there are objections, I am going to add this to the MISC-FREE license group.

Done.
