Description Andreas Schwarz 2004-08-23 09:23:11 UTC
When I try to compile the mysql-ruby extension i get the following error in mkmf.log:
"gcc -o conftest -I/private/tmp/mysql-ruby-2.4.5 -I/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/powerpc-dar
win -I/usr/local/mysql/include -O2 -pipe -mcpu=7450 -fno-common -pipe -fno-com
mon conftest.c -L"/usr/local/mysql/lib" -L"/usr/lib" -lruby18-static -lmys
qlclient -ldl -lobjc "
ld: table of contents for archive: /usr/lib/libruby18-static.a is out of date; r
erun ranlib(1) (can't load from it)

A newer portage release fixed this issue, an updated installed will be available asap with either a cvs snapshot portage version or the .52 release.
