Description Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2017-02-22 07:18:38 UTC
The current stable is still using built_with_use. Can we stabilize a newer version? Alternatively, we could dump the whole thing in ~arch and p.u.s.mask the relevant flags on revdeps.
Comment 1 Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2017-07-01 16:24:59 UTC
The only non-cjk revdeps are:

app-editors/emacs*
app-office/magicpoint

Maintainers, do you care about m17n-lib at all?

GNU Emacs needs this for internationalisation. Especially South Asian scripts would be broken without that lib.

I am using m17n-lib-1.6.4 here (with Emacs) and have not noticed any problems. Just mark that version stable and be done (?).

Thanks, that's the info I needed.

Arch teams, please proceed.

dev-libs/m17n-lib-1.7.0 is now stabilized in bug #636222.
Comment 14 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2018-01-03 21:32:42 UTC
Reopening, because 1.5.2 is still blocking built_with_use removal.

Can m17n-lib-1.5.2 be removed? (It has a stable keyword on sh, but that is not a stable arch.)

I just see that they're already CCed in bug 636222 for stabilising 1.7.0, so removing from CC again.

    dev-libs/m17n-lib: [QA] Remove old.

Remove ebuild for 1.5.2, which is the last ebuild in the tree using
the long deprecated built_with_use function (and in EAPI 0, at that).
