Portage 2.0.25: I've successfully emerged mod_php. At the end, it tells me to
run "ebuild /var/db/pkg/dev-php/mod_php-4.2.2/mod_php-4.2.2.ebuild config",
which I did. In earlier versions, this worked perfectly, but now it complains
and exits:

!!! No message digest file found:
/var/db/pkg/dev-php/mod_php-4.2.2/files/digest-mod_php-4.2.2
!!! Type "ebuild foo.ebuild digest" to generate a digest.

I can confirm this as well.  I'm not sure, but it seems(?) like the
commands are being executed, at least for mod_ssl.
