Description Rasmus Andersen 2004-08-17 23:56:35 UTC
I wanted to emerge mod_python for my apache1 setup but it kept installing itself against apache2. I had "-apache2" in my USE flags and thought that would do it.

Asking on the forums I was told the right version to use but think that at least a warning message might be in order?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have apache installed.
2. 'USE="-apache2" emerge mod_python
3. What mod_python be installed for apache2 only (since we merge 3.1.3 or so)

Actual Results:
as above.

Expected Results:
Informed me that I could not have newest mod_python for apache1.

I dont think I have antything pertinent to add here. Please let me know if you
require more information.

Currently, mod_python-2* is for only for 1.x, and mod_python-3* is for 2.x (you'll get this by default due to versioning magic in portage).
