I get the following the during the install stage: >>> Install xosd-1.0.0 into /var/tmp/portage/xosd-1.0.0/image/ category x11-libs install: cannot stat `xosd.h': No such file or directory /usr/lib/portage/bin/dolib.a: libxosd.a does not exist /usr/lib/portage/bin/dolib.so: libxosd.so does not exist >>> dobin: making osd_cat executable... install: cannot stat `osd_cat': No such file or directory doman: osd_cat.1 does not exist. doman: xosd.e does not exist. strip: >>> Completed installing into /var/tmp/portage/xosd-1.0.0/image/ No need to say that it does not do anything useful afterwards :) Looks like a problem with the actual source though, since it does not seem to build some of the files (like libxosd.so) at all, even when I run configure/make myself....
try the new version and tell me (it works for me)
