vdrift-20141020 ebuild & patches

vdrift-20141020 ebuild & patches - compiles & runs :)
Comment 2 Evert 2017-12-21 23:41:00 UTC
Although this ebuild works4me and may work for you too, it's probably desirable to upgrade this ebuild from EAPI=5 to EAPI=6.
I'm convinced our Gentoo developers can show some excellent work on this migration task.

now seems to require media-libs/libsdl2-2.0.8-r2::gentoo
- does not compile with r1

Yes - just verified & still compiles without issue

Of course I'm talking about vdrift-20141020, see attachment above.
It compiled in 2017 and still compiles today.

Was there any reason why this ebuild never made it into portage?

I meant does it work with the latest libsdl2?

Also, just time & people not noticing, I think. I can have a go though. Testing it is a bit challenging right now so I need to figure out an environment.

Does the latest version resolve:
"These packages either use obsolete scons-utils.eclass API that does not support Python 3, or do not support Python 3 at all. Their maintainers are unresponsive. Please do not remove any packages from this list unless you actually port them to Python 3. Removal in 30 days. Please find relevant bugs on tracker bug #635934"?
