The wxGTK tarball uncludes various utils but they are not compiled during the merge. I think it's not a problem to add several lines to the ebuilds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Is there a particular utility or utilities you need? They are not installed by default per wxwidgets documentation, and maybe for good reason because some of them fail to compile. Also, I have no hardware to test the embedded devices utilities on.
I'm missing the files /usr/bin/wxgtk-2.4-config /usr/bin/wxgtkd-2.4-config with the latest ebuilds. The only thing in /usr/bin starting with wx is wxrc-2.5 and wxrc (symlink). Is that normal? I cannot compile amule because of this! (i tried it on various PCs with various wxGTK versions, those files are missing on all those PCs after compiling the latest wxGTKs) Is this related to this bug ?
Since 2.5.3 the new wx-config isn't compatible with older ones. They are now located in /usr/lib/wx/config and have names like gtk2-ansi-release-2.5 (the wx devs came up with the new names and locations, not me ;) Take a look at the wxwidgets eclass and wxpython-2.5.3.1.ebuild for examples on how to use it. To original bug reporter, feel free to re-open this if you have more info and can suggest particular utilities that you think should be included.
