Description Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2017-01-07 09:26:58 UTC
Arches please stabilise mutt-1.7.2. As to runtime testing, starting mutt and trying to read/write an mbox probably will do. If you want some config to send mail (using USE="smtp ssl") you can try the following in your .muttrc:

set smtp_url=smtp://<gentoo-dev-name>@dev.gentoo.org:587/

Please contact me if you want more extensive configs or something.

Thanks!

can this be resolved in a timely manner? the latest stable mail-client/mutt is still 1.5.24-r2, which requires <app-crypt/gpgme-1.8.0. several other stable packages now in the tree are now requiring app-crypt/gpgme-1.8.0, which creates a slot conflict.

e.g.

>=app-crypt/gpgme-1.8.0 required by kde-apps/kdepimlibs-4.14.11_pre20160211-r3

pretty please?

@grobian, @alpha: maybe mask alpha notmatch USE, alpha is not ready in perl.

Any reason why x86 and amd64 aren't stable ?
Comment 20 Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-06-15 04:24:33 UTC
@grobian: can you please decide what you want to do with alpha and pass sanity-check of this stable request?

this is the only package that requires gpgme-1.5 which should be dropped.

thanks!

Comment 22 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2017-06-15 13:40:08 UTC
@grobian:
Ping, this needs to move forward. I am writing an ebuild that needs gpgme, but it also fails because my system is forced to stay on gpgme-1.5 because of this package.
Comment 23 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2017-06-15 13:42:53 UTC
I don't understand what I can do about alpha not having it's keywords on par???
Comment 24 Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-06-15 13:45:23 UTC
as in comment#15, comment#20.

for starter, you should not have -sanity-check...

either remove alpha for now and reset sanity-check for bot to ack, or set notmatch USE mask in alpha.
Comment 25 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2017-06-15 13:54:05 UTC
Where do I need to add nomatch? Or do I need to drop alpha and tell them to keyword as they see fit or something?
Comment 26 Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2017-06-15 13:58:30 UTC

usually:
profiles/default/linux/alpha/package.use.mask
but in the alpha case for some reason:
profiles/arch/alpha/package.use.mask

you can see other archs have masked it as well
