Created attachment 37495 [details] Tar containing patch for the Manifest file, a new ebuild and a new digest file for the 7.3.5 driver
Created attachment 37497 [details] *CORRECTED* Tar containing patch for the Manifest file, a new ebuild and a new digest file for the 7.3.5 driver
Marko, please do NOT attach tarballs. We do NOT need the Manifest or the digest, we ONLY need the ebuild, so please reattach an ebuild as a PLAINTEXT attachment.
Created attachment 37511 [details] only the ebuild file
Your ebuild should probably do. make LINUX=${ROOT}/usr/src/linux Checking the running kernel is not always relevant (especially in cross compiled envionments)
Ok. Was just copying how the original ebuild was done. Still learning... Shall I resubmit the attachment?
Created attachment 40200 [details] updated ebuild Added "unset ARCH" because portage sets it to x86 which breaks the build (i386 works).
Created attachment 40587 [details] Slight fixes Clean up the einfo text and explain better the download.
rebounce to kernel@gentoo.org, since steel has left our team
Is the version detection fixed? It still seems like the running version gets considered, not the version /usr/src/linux symlinks to. see also this discussion: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=1990664
Created attachment 48829 [details] bcm570x-7.3.5.ebuild please test if this works for you and comment
