Marko, please do NOT attach tarballs.  We do NOT need the Manifest or the digest, we ONLY need the ebuild, so please reattach an ebuild as a PLAINTEXT attachment.

Your ebuild should probably do.

make LINUX=${ROOT}/usr/src/linux

Checking the running kernel is not always relevant (especially in cross compiled envionments)

Added "unset ARCH" because portage sets it to x86 which breaks the build (i386
works).

Is the version detection fixed?
It still seems like the running version gets considered, not the version /usr/src/linux symlinks to.
