Description Stuart Herbert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-15 13:38:19 UTC
Please test this package against PHP 5.0.1.

If the package works, please add a comment to this bug to say that the package works, and close this bug as 'RESOLVED INVALID'.

If the package does not work, please add a blocker against 'virtual/php' (for dev-php/php) or 'virtual/httpd-php' (for mod_php or php-cgi) as appropriate, and close this bug as 'RESOLVED FIXED'.

Thanks,
Stu

Nope, 1.8.4 does not work. They use the old adodb-library that does not work with php5.

Fatal error: Class ADODB_Iterator contains 1 abstract methods and must therefore be declared abstract (Iterator::valid) in /usr/share/webapps/tikiwiki/1.8.4/htdocs/lib/adodb/adodb-iterator.inc.php on line 46

It is possible to
1) cd into the lib/ directory of the tikiwiki installation
2) remove the adodb dir
3) download http://optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/adodb/adodb452.tgz
4) tar xfz adodb452.tgz

Tikiwiki seems to work with php5 afterwards but the procedure might break unmerging/upgrading. Maybe I find the time to incorporate it to the ebuild.

Added Bug 64962 but I am not allowed to set the status of this bug to FIXED ;)
