Description Stuart Herbert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-15 12:58:35 UTC
Please test this package against PHP 5.0.1.

If the package works, please add a comment to this bug to say that the package works, and close this bug as 'RESOLVED INVALID'.

If the package does not work, please add a blocker against 'virtual/php' (for dev-php/php) or 'virtual/httpd-php' (for mod_php or php-cgi) as appropriate, and close this bug as 'RESOLVED FIXED'.

Thanks,
Stu

PHP-Accelerator is unmaintained UPSTREAM (latest version was released in January 2003) and does NOT work with PHP 5.
Comment 2 Stuart Herbert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-17 01:51:38 UTC
Are you sure that Nick has abandoned it? Just because he hasn't done a release, it doesn't mean that it's now unmaintained.

Best regards,
Stu

I am not in contact with Nick but I asked around on IRC and it looks like it is unmaintained. What I can say for sure is that it does not work with PHP 5.
Comment 4 Stuart Herbert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-22 03:19:53 UTC
Okay, I've updated the dependencies in the ebuild to require PHP v4 for now.
Once we move all the php5 stuff into the separate dev-php5 category, I'll be
able to clean it up even more.

Best regards,
Stu
