Description Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2016-11-02 12:34:17 UTC
Any thoughts about stabilising Qt 5.6.2? It contains a lot of fixes, including for some issues that are known to affect KDE Plasma.

Please see attached stabilisation list.

For this request, shall we specifically ask all archs to action, or suggest they use discretion and target a future version for a 'full' stabilistion? We already have some KDE packages that require >=5.7

I only checked the PVs, not the arches, LGTM.

Some arches didn't like being left out when we tried a partial stabilization last time.

> We already have some KDE packages that require >=5.7

This is unfortunate. I'd really hoped that we could stay on 5.6.x a little longer, being an LTS, and possibly skip 5.7.x stabilization completely and jump directly to 5.8. We shall see what happens with 5.7.1 once it's released.
