Can we start stabilizing this? It's been in the tree for > 30 days. This would be good for the preparation of the PHP 7 stabilization.

Stabilizing before PHP 7 is stable is likely to hide 7 support since the USE flag is in use.stable.mask.

Not everyone is aware of how to get around that by:

a) putting cat/pkg into package.accept_keywords (therefore forcing ~arch)
b) creating /etc/portage/profile/use.stable.mask and putting -php_targets_php7-0
Comment 2 Michael Orlitzky gentoo-dev 2016-10-29 23:29:56 UTC
Since v1.1.1 has proper upstream support for php-7.x, I replace v1.1.0-r1 with it. Let's target that instead... if somebody remembers in 30 days and there are no major problems with the new version, just CC the arches.
Comment 3 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2016-12-10 10:55:57 UTC
it seems the new target would be -r2

Dear Maintainer (or who is mainly involved in this stable request),

This is an auto-generated message that will move the current component to the new component Stabilization.
To ensure that the stabilization will proceed correctly, please fill the fields "Atoms to stabilize" and "Runtime testing required" as described here:
