setup a new bare metal stable hardened amd64 server today and got from elog : WARN: postinst Your /var/spool/mail/ directory permissions differ from those which mailbase wants to set it to (03775). If you did not change them on purpose, consider running: chown root:mail /var/spool/mail/ chmod 03775 /var/spool/mail/ And indeed : rescue .ssh # ls -ld /var/spool/* drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Aug 19 15:15 /var/spool/at drwxr-xr-x 4 cron root 4096 Aug 19 14:52 /var/spool/cron drwxrwx--- 2 jabber jabber 4096 Aug 19 14:33 /var/spool/jabber drwxr-xr-x 2 mail root 4096 Aug 19 14:39 /var/spool/mail I switched user and group as expected btu I do think this might be wrong in the image, or ?

I believe this is a duplicate of bug 532990. I just closed that bug as I couldn't find any permissions issue in the latest stages. @net-mail: Your bug so feel free to close it.
