Description Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2016-08-11 18:29:00 UTC
The listed package has been added directly with no maintainer which is a major QA and CoC violation. It already one bug reported (#590964) which the committer resolved without adding himself as maintainer as requested.

Therefore:

1. I'd like to ask vapier to decide if he wishes to maintain the package or not. If the package is not given a maintainer in the next 7 days, it will be treecleaned.

2. I'd like QA to add this violation to vapier's file.

you're just making things up at this point. where exactly is the "major CoC violation" ? if it's so major, it should be easy for you to point at docs that say as much.

this is really no different from adding to the tree, then removing myself as a package being "up for grabs".

Which is also a bad move trying to add something you want, then throw the responsibility for maintaining it on others. Intentionally growing the maintainer-needed package set is not a nice thing at all.

@comrel, please note this argument of 'doing bad thing X is fine because if I did it in two commits, you would not notice'.

    Revert "dev-libs/mingw-libgnurx: initial ebuild #101468"
Additions straight to maintainer-needed are against longstanding policy. You should know that.
