Looks like the whole set is up for a bump. Also, if possible, can you einfo on the scanner package on how to set it up? Looks like there are certs and other things that require setting up and a small guide, link to a guide, and/or reference to openvas-check-setup would be appreciated, as it doesn't appear to function out of box.
I've created updated ebuilds to install OpenVAS-9. I've been using them personally with no issues. If upgrading from OpenVAS-8, 'openvasmd --migrate' will need to be run to upgrade the task database. The 'maxmemory' option in redis.conf will need to be commented out or increased to 128MB. 'openvas-certdata-sync', 'openvas-nvt-sync', and 'openvas-scapdata-sync' have been renamed to 'greenbone-certdata-sync', 'greenbone-nvt-sync', and 'greenbone-scapdata-sync' respectively.

There are lots of important commits over their current stable packages (9) (scanner) (manager) (libraries) (gsad) but they passed to new major beta (10) release instead of pushing new stable.I confirm that i had to use their branch/master sources for successful compile (tested) otherwise i could not compile it.It seems making patches for all commits over their stable (9) for all components not possible and their beta needs long time to be stable. Maybe the possible solution sourcing their branch/master (9) "snapshots" somewehere for ebuilds till beta 10 be stable.
