Ah, net.lo.

Anyways, also important is to be able to specify the netmask. We need an alias with 255.255.255.255 and not the default /24-netmask.

Roy: this should be easy shouldnt it ?
Comment 3 Roy Marples (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-01 09:21:55 UTC
Sorry for the delay, but this bug just got onto my radar.

baselayout-1.12.0 will allow for customising the lo interface via conf.d/net in terms of adding addresses and routes.

At this point I'm unwilling to move the patch to 1.11.x

Looking for this fix as well. Any release time frame?
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-07-12 15:14:43 UTC
as Roy said, it's in baselayout-1.12.0+
Comment 6 Chris Smith 2005-07-12 15:47:07 UTC
I saw that. But was asking about the time frame went it might be released
and unmasked.
I guess it must be right around the corner now that the bug is marked resolved
and fixed.
